I have been entertaining the Houston community with Dance, since 1986, when I belonged to the Montrose Country Cloggers. I am one of the founding members of Southern Country Houston, and have been a member since 1991. I have been an instructor for Southern Country Houston since 1992, and I am, presently, on the Southern Country Houston exhibition dance team, as well as Southern Country Houston's competition dance team, the Lone Star Lariats. Originally from Groves, TX, I now reside in Houston with my partner of 19 1/2 years, Carol Martinez. I am a graduate of the University of Houston. My hobbies include dancing, fishing, casinos, spending time with family and friends. |

Carol Martinez
I have been involved in dance in the Houston community since 1986. I was a member of The Montrose Country Cloggers and performed with the dance group at many gay and straight events. I am one of the founding members of Southern Country Houston, and have been a member since 1991. I began instructing dance for Southern Country Houston in 1992. I am, presently, on the Southern Country Houston exhibition dance team, as well as Southern Country Houston's competition dance team, the Lone Star Lariats. I am currently the Performance Coordinator and Choreographer for Southern Country Houston's exhibition dance team. I have competed and won titles in couples compitition and line dance competition in the Internional Association of Gay and Lesbian Country Western Dance Clubs dance circuit. I also teach private dance lessons. I am a native of Houston, TX. and I still reside in Houston with my partner of 19 1/2 years, Evie DeRanieri. My hobbies include dancing, fishing, casinos, spending time with family and friends, going to movies, & motorcycle riding. |
